REVIEW – The Kick Off For The New Season Starts With Couchboy’s Acoustic Single “Summer”

REVIEW – A High Energy Flux Track By Naked Eyes Touching On The Elements Of Heartbreak & Addiction With “Eyes in Love”

Massachusetts singer-songwriter David MacDonald aka Couchboy gifts us with the perfect kick off for the new season with his single “Summer”

Combining acoustic, folk & indie vibes with a nostalgic tune about the passing of years is what caught our attention with this track.

The intro starts with a mellow acoustic guitar sound that takes you back in time to how we used to spend our summer days as kids, and how quickly these unforgettable times pass by quickly. With David’s perfect mix of country/folk sounds that fit the mood of the lyrics

David’s influences are The Kinks, The Who, and other classic bands. When he was 15, he won an acoustic guitar in a Beatles trivia contest and began teaching himself to play. Discovering punk and alternative rock, David played bass in many groups before forming JASPER in Chapel NC. They recorded a cd with producer Caleb Southern (Ben Folds, Archers of Loaf, Fear of Pop) and toured the east coast (including playing at SXSW and Richmond Music Festival) before moving to NYC with a production deal and performing throughout the city. David, the lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter, left the band and returned to Western Massachusetts where he later started releasing music as COUCHBOY.
